Python Image Library (PIL) Install Tips

 

1 brew install error (bad interpreter no such file or directory brew)

brew update: The following untracked working tree files would be overwritten by merge:

cd /usr/local
git fetch origin
git reset --hard origin/master

http://samwize.com/2015/01/29/homebrew-broken-on-yosemite/

2 ‘X11/Xlib.h’ file not found

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27420559/error-installing-pil-library-for-python

xcode-select –install

3 IOError: cannot identify image file ‘./baybridge.jpg’

from PIL import Image

instead of

import Image

fixed the issue
